Huey P. Long Bridge Switch Conference

Big Milestone for the Huey P. Long Bridge Widening Project
On Monday DOTD officials announced the upcoming traffic switch from the old lanes of the Huey P Long Bridge to the newly constructed lanes. Once the traffic switch is complete the old lanes will be demolished so the new lanes can be further widened to the final 43' width. The two existing lanes are very narrow with a total width of 18' so once the new lanes are completely constructed it will be a definite upgrade.
